Introduction

JMC Electrónica is a company devoted to engineering, design and manufacturing of industrial electronics and consumption.

Our experience allows us to develop your project starting from an initial idea, from technical specifications and from the demands of the market, guaranteeing the maximum flexibility and quickness.

Our production department applies the latest technologies both in assembly and in quality control.

History

1972 -

JMC Electrónica is incorporated in the centre of Girona by Josep Maria Carreras. Since the beginning it creates, designs and assembles its own equipment. The first projects are performed within the field of the lighting of discotheques and gaming machines for children.

1989 -

JMC Electrónica becomes a public limited company. New clients appear and the R+D becomes increasingly important. The purchase of the first tin wave welding machine makes production more agile.

1998 -

JMC moves to Sant Juliá de Ramis and continues growing. In the new building, a whole floor is dedicated to R+ D, and this allows working more comfortably with the latest technologies. The new designs, such as automatisms for blinds, door frameworks, megaphony control, etc., give more and more volume of production of cards.

2000 -

Purchase of the first SMD machine (surface assembly) and of the associated welding bench. The implementation of the SMD technology increases the potential production volume and allows reducing costs.

2001 -

Clients are promoted and, at the same time, the number of them increases. The R+D department is enlarged, both with regard to personnel and to volume of projects. The production amounts to 12,000 cards per year.

2006 -

Another facility is hired to have room for new employees, due to the production increase. A second SMD machine is purchased, and a new furnace with more capacity. The production amounts to 25,000 cards per year.

2007 -

With the increase of work shifts, the production capacity is doubled. In the first four-month period, the manufacturing is over 30,000 cards.
